The Freelo Time Tracking mobile app tracks time on your Freelo tasks right from your phone. Start the timer with one tap, assign it to a task and see straight away how much work you have done.
The app is free for Android and iOS and works in Czech and English. Tracked time is saved to your Freelo account, so you will also see the reports from your phone in the timesheets overview on your computer.
Where to download the app
- iPhone and iPad: Freelo Time Tracking on the App Store
- Android: Freelo Time Tracking on Google Play
Freelo Time Tracking is a separate app for time tracking only. Projects, discussions and other Freelo features are in the main Freelo mobile app.
How to sign in
You need a Freelo account to sign in. In the app, enter your login e-mail and your API key. Thanks to the API key, the app works with the Free, Lite, Business and Premium plans.
You will find your API key in Freelo on your computer. Click your avatar in the top right corner and select Settings. At the bottom of the page you will find the API key section. See Freelo API and API key for details.
What the app can do
Time tracking
- Start and stop the timer with one tap.
- Edit a running entry.
- Assign the time to a specific Freelo task and project.
The home screen shows the running timer and your entries from the last two days you logged work. On Monday you will see Friday's work, not an empty yesterday.
Tasks and subtasks
The app shows your tasks and you can start tracking right from them. With subtasks you can:
- check a subtask off as done,
- reopen a finished subtask,
- assign a subtask to a user.
Work reports overview
View your work reports for a chosen period, for example today, this week, this month or last month. The total covers the whole selected period and matches your reports in Freelo.
Reminders for a forgotten timer
The app reminds you when you forget to start or stop the timer. A timer left running overnight warns you after your working hours end.
In the app settings you choose your working hours and working days. Outside your working days the app does not send arrival and departure notifications.
Reminders based on your workplace location
Reminders can optionally also use your location. Save your workplace location and a radius around it in the app. When you leave or return to your workplace, the app reminds you about the timer.
This feature is off by default. The app asks for location access only after explaining why it needs it. To work while the app is closed, it also needs background location access.
