TuDů is an AI assistant built directly into Freelo that answers your questions about the app anytime, without waiting for live support. You'll find it as the floating 🦜 icon in the bottom-right corner - just click and type. Who is TuDů

TuDů is an AI assistant integrated directly into Freelo. It acts as your first line of support - answering questions about the app, walking you through settings, helping with invoicing, or explaining specific features. If it's unsure, it'll smoothly transfer you to a live support agent.

In chat, it talks to you informally and uses nautical metaphors - like a proper parrot perched on the Freelo ship's mast. Under the hood, it runs on Google Gemini and Freelo's official documentation.

Where to find TuDů

You'll spot TuDů by the floating icon (🦜) in the bottom-right corner of your screen. Click it to start a conversation. You'll find it directly inside the Freelo app.

What TuDů can help with

TuDů draws from Freelo's complete knowledge base and can answer questions in these areas:

Users & Roles Invitations, roles (captain, manager, guest) and their permissions.

How to communicate with TuDů

For best results:

  • Be specific: Instead of "something's not working," type "I can't invite a new user to a project".
  • Write naturally: TuDů understands plain language - you don't need to know the exact terminology.
  • Add context: Mention whether you're an account owner, manager, or guest.
  • Follow up: If an answer is too brief, ask for more details.

Language support: TuDů understands Czech, Slovak, English and German. It replies in the same language you write in (though help links point to Czech articles).

Attachments in chat

In chat, you can send TuDů files to better describe your issue:

  • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP.
  • Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX.
  • Limit: Maximum file size is 10 MB.

Attachments will also be visible to live support if the chat is passed to an operator.

When TuDů doesn't know the answer

If you run into a specific or sensitive issue, TuDů will connect you with our team:

  • Transfer suggestion: If TuDů isn't sure, it will offer to pass your question to support.
  • Manual transfer: You'll find a button in the chat to connect with customer support.
  • Automatic escalation: For topics like payments or account status, the system escalates automatically.

The live support agent will see your full conversation history with TuDů, so you won't need to explain anything again.

Live support Monday - Friday (9:00 - 17:00).
Outside working hours TuDů will let you know how to contact us by email.

Rating responses

Under each response you'll find thumbs up / down buttons. Your feedback is key to improving the assistant. You can also add a short comment about what specifically helped or what was missing.

Privacy and security

  • Conversation storage: Conversations are stored to improve quality and for live support needs.
  • Limited access: TuDů has no access to your private Freelo data (projects, tasks, users). It answers only based on the public knowledge base.
  • Verification: The system checks that TuDů doesn't mention non-existent features or links.

What TuDů can't do (yet)

TuDů is currently a knowledge assistant. That means it can advise you, but it won't take any actions in your account itself.

TuDů currently can't:

  • Create a task, project, or To-Do list.
  • Change account settings or billing details.
  • Assign a task to a colleague.
  • Show an overview of your tasks.
  • Reset a password.

Vision: TuDů as your work buddy

This is just the beginning. Our goal is for TuDů to actively work within Freelo. One day you'll be able to give it tasks like:

  • "Create a new task 'Call the client' for tomorrow and assign it to Peter."
  • "Show me what I need to finish this week."
  • "Create a report of hours worked last month."

Practical use

  • Freelo newcomers - TuDů will walk you through the initial setup, explain project roles, or show you how to invite a colleague - no need to search the help center.
