MCP, AI server, OAuth... what?

Don't panic, the answers are easier than they look.

Freelo MCP is a server built on Anthropic's open standard Model Context Protocol. Translated: it allows your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT and others) to talk directly to Freelo. Instead of manually copying data from Chat to Freelo, the AI works with it on its own.

With all those who support the MCP standard. Currently tested with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, but Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, Zed, n8n and LibreChat should be able to do it too.

No. In Claude Desktop or ChatGPT, all you need is a few clicks and an OAuth login. More advanced users can download a local version with an API key (for custom agents, self-hosted scenarios or CI/CD).

No. Freelo MCP is included in every Freelo account. You only pay for what you would have paid for in Freelo anyway - no extra plan, no extra subscription.

It won't replace them, but it will complement them well. Zapier and n8n send data between tools according to fixed scenarios. Freelo MCP lets the AI decide when and how to talk to Freelo - depending on what you ask it to do in chat. For automation, n8n and similar tools remain a better choice.

Freelo MCP uses OAuth login - the same as when you log in with Google or Microsoft. The AI only sees data that you have access to. Additionally, critical actions (like deleting tasks) require confirmation in chat so you don't accidentally lose anything.
