Front-end Lead Developer (Vue 3 / Nuxt 4 / TypeScript)

We are looking for a captain for our frontend crew. This is not another ”senior position at Vue” - this is a lead role in a bootstrap SaaS where frontend has its place in the sun. You're building a product that thousands of companies use every day, leading a team that wants to grow, and have free rein on technical decisions. Most of your time is spent coding, the rest is spent on people, architecture, and direction. If you're tired of politics, approval wheels, and buzzword-driven development, read on.

You should

• Being a frontend expert - deep experience in frontend development, a significant part of which is in Vue 3 (Composition API) + TypeScript strict mode. It's not your first framework, but it's your main one.
• Know Nuxt in depth - code splitting, lazy loading. Ideally Nuxt 3 or 4.
• Programming with Claude Code - skills, agents, hooks, MCP servers, subagents. Claude Code is your daily tool, not an experiment. We want you to promote this in your team.
• Know how to lead people - code review, mentoring, 1:1. Not "management", but technical leadership that pulls the team up.
• Make decisions independently - about architecture, technical directions, priorities. You have the Head of Devs as a sparring partner, not as an approver.
• Communicate with product and design - we don't make UX decisions in silos. You have to be able to explain the "why not" and the "what if".

The advantage is

• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Vitest, Cypress and accessibility (we work with them daily)
• Pinia / Pinia Colada and monorepo / Nuxt Layers architecture (this is exactly our stack)
• OpenAPI code generation - we generate types from API automatically
• Real-time patterns (WebSocket, Centrifuge)
• Activity in the open-source community or technical blog

You will be in this position

• Build key things - architecture and development of core features. Most of the time you write code, not just talk about it.
• Lead FE crew (4-6 people) - 1:1, code review, people growth. We don't want a manager with a spreadsheet, but a leader who leads by example.
• Manage migration from legacy to new architecture - we are converting src/ to modern Nuxt Layers. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and you set the pace.
• Determine the technical direction of the frontend - best practices, standards, tooling. What you solve, nobody else has to solve.
• Collaborate with product and design - UX decisions are made together, not over the wall.
